Class project gone awry

Earlier this week I was working on a project for my visual media class where I needed a picture of a water droplet. I figured to save time, I would just grab one off google images, but after awhile of searching, I couldn't find one that I liked and that would work, so I resorted to my original idea of just taking the picture myself...so much for that time saver. So I busted out my camera, turned on my bathroom sink, and had some fun snapping away. I was just focusing on getting a single drop that was the right size and shape and not much else, but some of them actually turned out kind of cool.

It turned out that I couldn't make any of the pictures I took work either, so after a long time of working on this endless project, I ended up having to start from scratch and figure out a whole different project! What was that about time saving??? I was so frustrated, but at least I had fun taking some pictures and I think I have something else figured out that will work, right?

Shooting water drops is always fun, but defiantly tricky.

If the future if you need a great shot for a comp try www.istockphoto.com They are not very expensive, and have tons of images. Just search for water drops... Gav

Do you love the things you learn as you're trying to learn something else? Sometimes, it's patience, sometimes it's how to take a picture of a water dropplet!

Oh no!! Actually, it's kind of funny. i do things like this all the time - like birthdays (I know I can make really, really cute cupcakes in 5 minutes - hahahaha - three hours later when the kids get home...).

I'm trying to plan a little bit ahead this year and I need a favor! Remember that corm bag warmer thing you gave us for Christmas? I'm tired of the kids stealing it from me and am making them their own, but I can't remember the cute saying that you had attached to it! I've searched the internet for the last two hours and can't find anything that will work. Do you happen to still have it?

I love you Michelle! We'll have to make a date to go take pictures all by ourselves when you come home for break!!
